Theorems which allow one to single out “equatorially symmetric” or “equatorially antisymmetric” spacetimes from the totality of stationary axisymmetric electrovac solutions of the Einstein–Maxwell equations were recently published [1] by Ernst, Manko and Ruiz. Specifically, in terms of the complex Ernst potentials [2] E and Φ, equatorially symmetric spacetimes satisfy the conditions E(−z, ρ) = E(z, ρ), Φ(−z, ρ) = eΦ(z, ρ), δ = const, (1)
